Lets get progressives running the Democratic Party (or at least a few of them)...

Dear Friends and fellow Democrats,

This upcoming Saturday, progressive Democrats have an opportunity to help transform the Democratic Party and fight for important policies like Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, Rent Control, and deeply affordable housing for all Californians.

Please join me this Saturday, January 12th, from 10:00am-1:00pm at the Women's Building (3543 18th Street) and help vote for the Reform Democrats for Labor and Equity, a slate of candidates running to fill Assembly District 17's ADEM Delegate seats.

I am proud to endorse the fantastic team of candidates running on the Reform Democrats slate, including my former colleague Supervisor John Avalos, Mia Satya, Bahlam Vigil, Shanti Singh, Zihan Zou, Gloria Berry, Gabriel Markoff, Gloria Archuleta, Jane Martin, Lorraine Bowser, Kitty Fong, Otto Pippenger, Brad Chapin and Kevin Ortiz.

Will you pledge to vote for reform this Saturday? These 14 progressive activists, community leaders and union members represent our vibrant and diverse communities here in San Francisco, and they deserve your vote.

In order to vote for the above candidates, you must be a registered Democrat living in Assembly District 17 (generally the East half of the City), and you'll be able to register as a Democrat at the event. You can find out more information on the California Democratic Party Website.

If you don't live on the East side of the City, no need to feel left out! Our long-time ally and state Assemblymember Phil Ting has assembled a consensus slate of candidates. Voting for the UniTING slate begins at 10am on Saturday at Deolger Cafe, 101 Lake Merced Blvd. in Daly City.

Not sure what Assembly District you live in? Follow this link, and click the button labeled "Find Your AD Here."

Lastly, if you're looking for more information about why this election matters so much for the future of our local, state and national Democratic Party, the League of Pissed Off Voters have put together a great explanation, here.

Please join me and other progressives this Saturday and help fight for a Democratic Party that advances social justice and represents the working class, not just the wealthy.

Sincerely,

Aaron Peskin

This email list is that of Showman Chicken John Rinaldi of San Francisco. You can keep up with his shenanigans and opinions by being on this list. If you would like to be included in a list to announce shows, that would be on the SFIOP.org site. This is for personal writing and such. He posts a few times a week at most. You sound much more important when you speak about yourself in the 3rd person. At least I do when I talk about me as 'him'.
