This time we're actually playing a whole movie! Don't get me wrong.. EYENOISE is great. It's actually preferable. Some movies, however, brings out the preservation society card-holder in me. 

Doris Wishman had a vision of space travel that has never been paralleled before or since.


This Month's feature presentation is "NUDE ON THE MOON"....

Working with a large sum of inherited money, two scientists build a rocket to take them to the Moon. Once there, they discover that the Moon's surface is covered with lush, tropical vegetation and giant golden nuggets. The astronauts are soon captured, however, by a colony of telepathic lunar nudists (who are actually topless rather than completely nude). Much of the film deals with the men's efforts to collect data documenting their discovery and well as with the burgeoning romance between the younger of the two astronauts and the queen of the Moon people. After they return to Earth, the scientists discover that their evidence has been destroyed during re-entry. (from Wikipedia)

Made in 1961, some theorists claim this was the actual inspiration for JFK's speech to Rice University in 1962, passionately promoting the embarkation of space-bound americans with a "spare no expense" policy. If you can go to war over a book, you can almost certainly go to the moon over a movie.


DRIVE-OUT THEATrE is a monthly movie series featured on two screens (in front and in back) on a brand-new projection system (the front screen is way sharper and clearer now). The sound system has been improved as well. The APPLAUSE Bus is a great rolling lounge.. a personalized green tortoise bus from 1968, cushy and vintage, that's become an institution in itself. "Farmers" can take their shoes off, lie back and get snuggly with freinds and would-be strangers. Chicken's Bus trips are always special and FILM FARM on the bus is extraordinarily great. We're looking forward to all the shows planned for this year!


Somewhere between KILLER and FILLER, there will be plenty of EYENOISE (for nudatics and lunatics)!!!

Plenty of delicious theatre candy will be on hand to help suspend disbelief!!!

Chicken John, himself, will be driving the APPLAUSE bus back to the bowling alley, as we spend intermission for a game or two @ Sea Bowl in Pacifica!!!
